Position Information
Moss Vale Public School is a thriving semi‐rural school in the picturesque Southern Highlands of NSW. With an enrolment of 439 students, including 12% Indigenous students and 12% from diverse linguistic backgrounds, our school embraces diversity and inclusion.
We offer 14 mainstream classes, including an Opportunity Class, six specialist support classes, and an Early Intervention Unit, providing comprehensive and diverse educational pathways for all learners. We are also proud to be part of the NSW Government's 100 New Preschools initiative, with our brand new 40‐place preschool on track to open at the start of 2027.

Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of high‐quality, whole‐school programs in literacy and numeracy, with a commitment to explicit teaching, differentiated practice that meets the diverse needs of all learners.
* Proven ability to collect, analyse and apply a range of student data to inform teaching and learning, build the capacity of staff through instructional leadership, and drive whole‐school improvement in student outcomes.
* Highly visible and collaborative leader with a demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive school culture and support the wellbeing and engagement of all students.
* Demonstrated capacity to effectively fulfil the dual role of classroom teacher and Assistant Principal, leading whole‐school initiatives and fostering community partnerships that are aligned with the school's strategic directions.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programmes.
* Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
