Rockhampton has 9 Residential Aged Care Homes (RACH's) and three RACH's on the Capricorn Coast. CQ Health has a total of 21 accredited RACH's and 7 Multipurpose Health Services within the catchment area. This includes both public and private RAC Homes. Non-accredited RACH's and National Disability Insurance Scheme residential facilities are not included in the scope of this service.
About the role:
The Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse appointed to the position with endorsements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner works within current Commonwealth, State and District regulations in relation to expanded authorities in the Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) setting.
* This role will work directly with provision of clinical expertise and under the Medical Governance of the Geriatric Evaluation Rapid Intervention - Residential Aged Care Support Service (GERI-RaSS) Senior Medical Officer.
* The role has an operational reporting line to the GERI/RaSS Nurse Unit Manager, GERI/RaSS Senior Medical Officer and a professional reporting line to the Nursing Director, Patient Flow.
* The role has no financial and human resource delegations.
About you:
Registration and Nurse Practitioner endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and possession of a current practicing certificate.
* The successful applicant will be required to undergo the CQ Health Nursing and Midwifery and Health Practitioner Credentialing and Defining Scope of Clinical Practice Sub Committee Nurse requirements for credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner according to the HHS policy.
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in gerontology, palliative care or chronic disease management would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $112,292 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
