The Opportunity
The Program Data and Analytics Lead plays a key role in the Pay Confidence Program, ensuring that data systems, analytical outputs and governance foundations enable the University to deliver fair, accurate and compliant pay outcomes. This role oversees the full data lifecycle, including strategy, extraction, modelling, quality assurance and executive reporting, ensuring strong evidence-based decision making across the program.
You will work closely with Senior Project Managers across Remediation, Mitigation and Governance streams to understand data needs, prioritise workloads, shape resource planning and ensure accuracy in remediation calculations. You will also provide authoritative interpretations of analytical findings and scope estimates, briefing executive stakeholders and the Steering Committee with clarity and confidence.
A major component of this role is building capability and operational sustainability. You will lead the Data Stream team, coach analysts, uplift governance practices, oversee dashboard development, support legal and compliance reviews, and ensure that analytical assets and documentation can be smoothly transitioned to BAU teams.
What Success Looks Like:
Deliver a program-wide data strategy that strengthens accuracy, governance and reporting.
Oversee data extraction, cleansing, modelling and QA that supports remediation and mitigation activities.
Provide clear, timely and accurate insights to senior stakeholders, including the Steering Committee.
Lead remediation calculations, scope assessments and liability modelling with strong assurance controls.
Build team capability and ensure dashboards, models and documentation are ready for BAU transition.

About You
Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science or related field.
Strong experience leading data teams and delivering large-scale remediation or transformation programs.
Advanced skills in Power BI, Oracle SQL, SAS and Excel, with proven governance and QA capability.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex insights to executives and guide stakeholder prioritisation.
HRIS/Payroll systems experience (e.g. Apay or similar) with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
