This role involves delivering mine plans in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing industry best practices. You will work closely with geology teams to ensure designs align with available geological information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop accurate and clear mine instructions by transforming conceptual designs into execution-ready plans.
* Ensure issued instructions are clear, correct, and understandable to Operations teams.
* Collaborate with geology teams to ensure designs align with geological data.
* Evaluate prospective remnant areas.
* Support management of underground contractors for project work as required.
* Work closely with survey and operations teams to prioritize and execute development activities.
* Contribute to completion of Mine Planning Department functions, such as budgets/forecasts, life-of-mine plans, reserves, ventilation & capital projects.
* Participate in safety and daily compliance meetings.
Requirements:
* Strong background in Mining Engineering.
* Current 'C' Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual).
* Experience with mine design software – preferably Deswik CAD and IS.
* Proven experience in Underground production and planning in mechanized hard-rock underground mines.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
* Desirable: St Johns Senior First Aid certificate.
* Awareness of Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulation 2022.
* Relevant Underground experience.
