Splice-Tech and Macks Rubber, innovative leaders in technology and manufacturing, are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Group Accountant / CFO to steer our financial strategy and drive sustainable growth. As a key partner to the CEO, you’ll take ownership of the finance function, delivering strategic insights, robust reporting, and operational excellence to support our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage statutory obligations, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation returns.
* Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes with precision.
* Deliver accurate and timely financial and KPI reports to guide decision-making.
* Prepare quarterly board reports to communicate financial performance and strategy.
* Facilitate internal and external audits, serving as the primary liaison with auditors.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic goals.
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with insurance management.
* Inventory management, and continuous improvement of financial systems.
* Conduct monthly internal quality audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Strengthen internal controls and optimise financial processes for scalability.
* Identify opportunities for growth, efficient and cost management.
* Identify and manage financial, operational and market risks.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce finance, or a related field.
* CA or CPA qualification (CPA preferred).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex financial analysis.
* Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management skills.
* Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
