Job Title: Policy Officer - Innovation and Reform
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Policy Officer to join our team in the Aboriginal Affairs NSW group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sound policy advice and recommendations on complex, whole-of-government issues impacting Aboriginal people.
About the Role
The Policy Officer will work in genuine partnership with Aboriginal peoples and communities to shape policies and reforms that reflect their needs and aspirations. Key areas of focus include Closing the Gap and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Land Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide sound policy advice and recommendations on complex, whole-of-government issues
* Undertake research, analysis and review of policy issues
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
* Communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
Requirements
* Degree in a relevant field (e.g. policy, law, social science)
* Proven experience in policy development and implementation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $110,266 - $122,058 per annum (plus superannuation and leave loading)
