What you'll do
As an Organisational Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving meaningful change across the organisation by developing tailored initiatives that enhance both individual performance and overall workplace culture. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve partnering closely with various teams to understand their unique challenges and aspirations, designing impactful programmes that align with strategic goals, and facilitating engaging sessions that inspire leaders at all levels. You will be responsible for translating complex concepts into accessible language during workshops or presentations while championing best practices in change management. By leveraging your expertise in stakeholder engagement and collaboration, you will help build a cohesive environment where knowledge is shared freely among colleagues. Your ability to prepare insightful reports and promote continuous improvement through customer feedback mechanisms will ensure that every initiative delivers lasting value. * Develop, implement, and coordinate initiatives aimed at enhancing individual, team, and organisational capabilities as well as culture to support strategic objectives.
* Lead, manage, and facilitate change management activities that bring organisational development projects to life while ensuring project outcomes are achieved.
* Support senior leaders in owning their responsibilities by helping them embed changes successfully throughout the organisation.
* Anticipate, analyse, and interpret client directorates' people management needs relative to strategic organisational development initiatives.
* Partner with consultants on the design and delivery of organisational development programmes ensuring alignment with corporate plans and objectives.
* Facilitate workshops, focus groups, team meetings, and deliver engaging presentations to senior leaders including collective leadership teams.
* Conduct regular analysis of organisational development research and trends to inform contemporary people strategies and programme initiatives.
* Design and deliver change communication and engagement plans that enable effective implementation of organisational development initiatives across all areas.
* Prepare accurate written reports, presentations, and communications for organisational development initiatives in liaison with relevant stakeholders.
* Promote mechanisms for customer feedback to encourage continuous improvement of People and Culture services.
What you bring
Your proven experience as an Organisational Development Specialist will be evident through your ability to deliver comprehensive people management services within large organisations. You bring deep expertise in designing programmes that span the entire employment lifecycle—from employee engagement through performance management—while always keeping end‑user needs at the forefront. Your background includes successful implementation of change management strategies supported by relevant qualifications or hands‑on experience. You excel at gathering insights from diverse sources before crafting thoughtful recommendations that address complex challenges. Your interpersonal skills allow you to foster dependable relationships built on trust with colleagues across all levels; you thrive when collaborating within high‑performing teams committed to shared success. In addition to your technical abilities in project delivery under tight deadlines and budgets, your communication style is inclusive—ensuring everyone feels heard whether negotiating solutions or presenting options on sensitive topics. A current driver's licence would be advantageous but is not mandatory for this role.
* Degree qualifications in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Human Resources or a related discipline or extensive demonstrable experience delivering complex organisational people management services within large multi‑disciplinary organisations.
* Change Management qualifications or significant experience implementing change initiatives across diverse teams is highly beneficial for this position.
* Proven capacity to provide specialist expertise, advice, coaching, and change management throughout project lifecycles with employees as end‑users in mind.
* Demonstrated experience managing projects spanning the employment lifecycle including employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, reward and recognition programmes as well as employee value proposition strategies.
* Extensive practical knowledge as an Organisational Development Professional or Change Manager with experience advising on complex people management issues.
* Ability to source relevant information from multiple perspectives before presenting recommendations or solutions tailored to business needs.
* Track record of working productively within high‑performing teams while building strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
* Experience leading complex projects with wide‑reaching impact within budget constraints while meeting agreed timelines and objectives.
* Superior verbal and written communication skills including negotiation, advocacy, clear presentation of information on sensitive matters at all levels of the organisation.
* Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence is desirable but not essential.
