Your new role
- Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
- Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
- Assist with inspections and roadworthiness checks
- Maintain accurate job cards and service records
- Ensure compliance with council safety protocols and environmental standards
- Collaborate with depot teams and fleet coordinators
What you'll need to succeed
- Cert III in Diesel Automotive or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics - Light Vehicle Mechanics will also be considered!
- Proven experience in fleet maintenance or similar environments
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different council depots
- Solid commitment to safety, quality, and community service
