* Reconciling invoices to shipment data including weights, lanes, zones and service levels
* Identifying overcharges and non-compliant pricing and managing disputes through to resolution
* Tracking credits, recoveries and savings delivered through audit activity
* Analysing freight cost data to identify trends, risks and margin leakage
* Producing regular reporting on invoice accuracy, disputes and recoveries
* Supporting Finance, Accounts Payable and Operations to strengthen freight cost controls and processes
* Work with Delivery partner managers on the standardisation of partner rate structures to reduce unnecessary complexity, inconsistencies, and manual interpretation
* Identify and rationalise non‐standard charging methodologies (e.g. unique or accessorial charges)
* Support the development of preferred rate structures that are scalable, auditable, and system‐friendly
* Partner with Systems teams to improve automation, exception handling, and rule accuracy within the TMS
* Analyse zone‐based pricing to identify inconsistent charging structures and highlight variances to standard customer zones
* Support governance forums with insights on rate structure effectiveness, system accuracy, and partner compliance
What we are looking for:
* Experience in transport finance, freight costing or cost analysis
* Strong understanding of road transport charging structures
* Demonstrated experience auditing invoices and managing cost disputes
* Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
* Confident communicator who can challenge costs professionally and objectively
* Commercial mindset with a strong focus on financial control and accuracy
* Be part of a team that values Service, Unity, Passion, Integrity, Innovation, and Care.
* Work in a collaborative environment where your ideas and input matter.
* Free parking at our convenient location
* Workplace Benefits Program providing discounts to many major retailers.
* Health Fund discounts for single or family cover.
* Free access to our Employee Assistance Program, Mental Wellbeing Program and Workplace Banking Program.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance and Operations, with genuine influence over margin protection, cost governance and freight cost integrity. You will be trusted to provide independent challenge, deliver measurable savings, and improve how transport costs are managed across the business.
