Principal & Senior Biodiversity Planner/Advisor

These positions are with the esteemed City of Moreton Bay, a forward-thinking and rapidly growing organization. Located ideally, these roles offer excellent opportunities for career advancement.
As a Principal or Senior Biodiversity Planner/Advisor, you will provide planning expertise and lead complex environmental and biodiversity planning projects to serve the needs of the City of Moreton Bay community. Both roles initially are 6-month contracts, with prospects for long-term engagement and potential permanent placement.
Your duties will include:
1. Providing technical leadership and guidance to team members on environmental and biodiversity planning initiatives.
2. Offering expert advice aligned with legislative, policy, and organizational requirements.
3. Leading delivery of complex projects, managing internal teams and external consultants to achieve strategic goals.
4. Developing team capabilities to foster high performance, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
5. Contributing technical expertise to the development and implementation of strategies and policies related to environmental and biodiversity issues.
6. Facilitating community consultation and representing the Council at various forums.
7. Possessing a current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
8. Acting as a key delegate and advocate within the department, providing professional advice to stakeholders.
