Offender Rehabilitation Specialist
The role of the Offender Rehabilitation Specialist is to deliver a full range of case management services to offenders, ensuring all activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. This includes conducting assessments to identify risks and needs, developing personalised case plans to support offenders through their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver evidence-based interventions for diverse offender groups, particularly those with complex needs.
* Use risk assessments and case management tools to develop targeted intervention plans.
* Address challenging behaviours through behavioural interventions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive and supportive case management process.
* Monitor the progress of case plans and ensure compliance with judicial requirements, providing regular updates and reports.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in delivering evidence-based interventions for diverse offender groups, particularly those with complex needs.
* Expertise in using risk assessments and case management tools to develop targeted intervention plans.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in addressing challenging behaviours through behavioural interventions.
* Knowledge of contemporary correctional practices and a strong commitment to offender rehabilitation and reducing recidivism.
* Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive and supportive case management process.
* Certificate IV in Correctional Practice or the capacity to complete it within specified timeframes.
* Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent years of experience in human services fields is preferred.
