Central Coast Sports College (CCSC) specialises in providing innovative educational and sport programs to student athletes from Kindergarten to Year 12. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for CCSC student athletes to attempt challenging and new experiences within a safe environment that will develop their independence and personal skills. This is achieved through a passion for creating an inclusive community, focused on developing a student athlete through sport and academia.

CCSC is looking to appoint an innovative, energetic and inspirational individual to commence a full time position from Term 1, 2026. The key to this role is a demonstrated belief that relationships are paramount to the success of student outcomes.
The successful candidate is a qualified teacher who is willing and able to deliver ‘Big Picture Learning' (https://www.bigpicture.org.au/) to senior student athletes (Years 7-12). Primary qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply.
NB: Undertaking a 5-day Big Picture foundation training program at the end of Term 4, 2025 (8 - 12 December 2025) is an essential requirement for successful candidates.
Qualifications and experience
- University Degree in related teaching discipline – Bachelor of Teaching/Education
- NESA accredited teacher status in NSW or equivalent
- NSW Working with Children Check clearance
- National Crime Check clearance
- First aid Certificate
- A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher in Senior College cohorts (Years 7-12).
Knowledge and skills
- A passionate, innovative, and self-motivated educator who values curiosity and creativity in the classroom
- Interest or experience in teaching Big Picture Learning
- Understanding or willingness to understand the work of Alfie Kohn and Sean Covey
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Experience with cross-curricular planning and delivery
- Prioritises collaboration and student wellbeing
- Alignment with and active support for the ethos and values of the College
