Legal Assistant | General Insurance | Melbourne
Turks is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our General Insurance practice group in Melbourne on a full-time basis.
As part of a team of 70 across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, the successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Group Head and their team of Partners, Lawyers and clients.

Responsibilities
* preparation and drafting of court documents/correspondence;
* diary management;
* brief preparation;
* monthly billing;
* opening/closing files;
* executive/ personal assistant duties as required;
* assisting lawyers as necessary; and
* general secretarial and administrative tasks.
Requirements
* 1+ years recent experience as a legal assistant/secretary/admin assistant;
* billing experience desirable;
* exceptional organisational skills; and
* a meticulous eye for detail and accurate proof reading skills.
In addition, you will:
* have excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal;
* ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to work within tight time frames;
* enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to work;
* a commitment to a career in legal support; and
* ability to work autonomously and within a team.
