About This Opportunity

The Associate Director and Head of Operations of the UQ Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) is the most senior operational management role within the Centre, responsible for translating strategicobjectivesinto an effective and sustainable operating model. The role works in close partnership with the CTC Academic Director to develop and implement the forward plan for the CTC, including strategy, operatingstructuresand functions, and to support the establishment,growthand maturity of the Centre as a key institutional capability.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience) and bring significant senior leadership experience in multicentre randomised clinical trials, healthcare and research administration.

They will demonstrate strong capability in operating within complex clinical and research environments, with a sound understanding of translational research design, protocol interpretation, feasibility assessment, and risk management.

The role requires proven strategic planning and business development skills, alongside knowledge of the clinical trials regulatory landscape, including governance, contracts, and intellectual property, and experience developing policies and frameworks in regulated settings.

An inclusive and collaborative leader, they will excel in stakeholder engagement and influencing, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
