Due to continued growth and recent major contract wins, we are expanding our operations team in Yatala, QLD.
About the Role: Civil Operator
We’re seeking a hands-on, versatile Civil Operator to join our field operations team. This role involves a broad range of duties, from operating civil equipment and assisting with signage installations, to travelling to project sites across Queensland and Northern NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate civil and site equipment including MR/HR trucks, vac trucks, cranes, forklifts, and trailer-mounted boom lifts
Assist with the installation and commissioning of roadside electronic equipment
Carry out civil site works including trenching, digging, formwork, and general labour
Conduct daily pre-start inspections and perform basic servicing of plant and machinery
Manage loading/unloading of materials and ensure safe transport logistics
Collaborate with engineers and installation teams on-site
Maintain accurate work records and ensure project timelines are met
Comply with all safety, environmental, and operational standards
Travel regularly to project sites (metro, regional, and remote)
Skills & Qualifications:
White Card (Construction Induction)
MR or HR Driver’s Licence (minimum requirement)
Forklift Licence (LF)
EWP Ticket (Trailer-Mounted Boom Lift)
Crane Licence (CV minimum) – desirable
Vac Truck and/or Crane Truck experience (minimum 1 year)
Confident using power tools, jackhammers, and other site equipment
Physically fit, reliable, and proactive
Proven ability to work safely and collaboratively on job sites
