Full-time permanent opportunity | Heavy vehicle fleet. Nationwide Group is Australia's largest provider of emergency roadside assistance and specialist towing and transport solutions. Operating nationally, we support complex, high-risk operations through a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and reliability. Our fleet operates nationwide, and we're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to help keep our vehicles safe, compliant and road-ready.
About The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy diesel vehicles across our fleet. This is a hands-on role with a mix of workshop work and fleet support, working closely with operational teams to keep vehicles on the road.
Responsibilities
* Servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel vehicles
* Preventative maintenance and safety inspections
* Fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
* Attending breakdowns where practical
* Commissioning new vehicles and equipment
* Maintaining accurate service and compliance records
* Supporting fleet operations and improvement initiatives
About You
* Certificate III in Diesel Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicle)
* Proven experience working on trucks or heavy vehicles
* Current HR licence
* Strong safety focus and pride in workmanship
Nice To Have (not Essential)
* Forklift licence
* Welding and hydraulics experience
* Towing, transport or roadside assistance experience
