Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Horticultural Worker to join our team in a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare growing media and suitable trays, pots and containers for optimal plant growth.
* Undertake the propagation, planting and pruning operations to ensure high-quality crops.
* Conduct irrigation, fertigation and fumigation activities to maintain soil health.
* Monitor and maintain soil, hydroponic, plant, treatment and yield records for data analysis.
* Assist with transport and logistics tasks for delivery of sales stock.
* Operate horticultural machinery and equipment to clear and cultivate land, sow and harvest crops, process and pack crops.
* Maintain relevant equipment and machinery to ensure efficient production.
Requirements
* At least 1 year of relevant work experience in horticulture.
* A relevant AQF Certificate II qualification or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of safe, efficient and high-quality farming practices.
* Ability to work independently and contribute to productive horticultural operations.
* Commitment to long-term work and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions
The role can be undertaken in either an indoor facility or outdoor farm setting or vineyard, offering a diverse working environment.
The role may involve weekend or public holidays work and some unplanned hours where necessary (paid accordingly).
