The Strategic Engagement Lead, Critical Minerals plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering best-practice engagement and communications to support the implementation of the State's Critical Minerals Roadmap. The Roadmap was released in December 2024 and outlines the Victorian Government's commitment to developing a responsible critical minerals industry.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

* A relevant tertiary qualification or industry recognised qualification in communications, public relations or another relevant discipline is mandatory.
* A current valid Victorian driver's licence is mandatory.
* Contemporary knowledge of strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, processes and planning.
* Highly developed communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively, develop networks and foster effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in the community and the public and private sectors.
* Sound knowledge of and experience working in government is essential.

This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2026 with possible extension. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
