IT Applications Director
We seek an experienced IT Applications Director to lead our application support team, ensuring reliability and efficiency of critical enterprise systems while contributing to operational excellence and technological advancement.
Located in Melbourne, the IT Applications Director will oversee the support, maintenance, and optimisation of enterprise applications, with a focus on ERP and HR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the application support team to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications, leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance support efficiency.
* Own the end-to-end performance, reliability and usability of key business applications
* Apply deep knowledge of business processes to ensure applications support the needs of the diverse business units and global locations.
* Oversee the support, maintenance, and optimization of ERP systems.
* Manage and support HR platforms, particularly SAP SuccessFactors, to streamline HR processes, enhance employee engagement, and enable data-driven decision-making.
* Lead application-related projects, including ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline, while incorporating AI technologies to improve project outcomes.
* Manage the resolution of application issues through effective incident management, utilizing AI analytics to predict and mitigate issues proactively.
* Manage relationships with application vendors and service providers.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT application support, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role is essential.
* Extensive knowledge of business processes across finance, operations, and HR, with the ability to align applications with business needs across diverse industries and locations.
* Proven experience in project management and implementation of ERP systems, including SAP, JobPac, Sage, and Timberline.
* Knowledge of application architecture, system integrations, and IT infrastructure fundamentals.
* Experience with AI technologies or tools for enhancing application support, process efficiency, or productivity is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks for application support and service management.
* Knowledge of cloud-based application support and modern integration.
