Leading the Accounts Receivable and Payable teams under the direction and with the support of the Senior Accountant, this Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager position performs management, accounting and clerical responsibilities related to the efficient processing of accounts receivable and payable transactions and the maintenance and improvement of related processes, while improving and adding value to customer and stakeholder relationships.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:
- Contributing to the development of efficient processes and procedures to enhance the ease and timelines in which debt is collected and supplier payments are made
- Monitoring customer and supplier accounts for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Leading the delivery of the accounts receivable and payable month-end-close processes
- Producing the month-end Accounts Receivable and Payable reports
- Providing timely advice to the Senior Accountant of any areas of concern in both the accounts receivable and payable functions
**SKILLS and EXPERIENCE**:
- At least 5 years of experience in a high-volume environment
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable and payable and general bookkeeping procedures, including double-entry principles
- Demonstrated capacity to provide excellent customer service as part of a team
- Experience with debt recovery processes and dispute management and resolution
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
