Position Description:
The Refrigeration Technician at Daydream Island Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems throughout the resort. This position requires a proactive individual who can diagnose, repair, and maintain various cooling systems to provide a comfortable environment for both guests and staff.
About the role:
* Conducting regular inspections, preventative and reactive maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose faults and performing repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
* Installing new refrigeration systems and components as required.
* Monitoring refrigerant levels and recharging systems to maintain efficiency.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations related to refrigeration operations.
* Collaborating with other maintenance staff to coordinate repairs or upgrades that affect multiple systems.
* Advising management on potential improvements or replacements for aging equipment.
Skills and Experiences:
About you:
Trade qualified Refrigeration Technician with a current Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL)
Experience in commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Flexibile and adaptable in a resort environment
