About the RolesCurrently, there are 15+ opportunities to join the team, with recruitment starting now and full team establishment by early 2025. Positions available for experienced wind technicians and local A-Grade Electricians/Mechanically qualified candidates seeking industry entry.
Reporting to Lead Technicians, you will be part of a core service team ensuring safe, high-standard operations and maintenance with minimal downtime. Responsibilities include commissioning, fault clearance, and turbine maintenance. Roles are based full-time on-site at MacIntyre Wind Farm, near Warwick, QLD.
Responsibilities
Analyze defects via phone contact with the service coordinatorPerform autonomous repairs, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on turbinesCollaborate with Lead Technicians on complex repairsCoordinate with subcontractors for planned maintenance and inspectionsCollect data and perform testsComplete reports and checklists for the Local Operation ManagerInform customers of turbine worksRepair or replace main componentsManage spare parts inventory and materials onsiteMonitor service reports and manage service processes for accurate expense bookingEnsure high-quality, timely task completionPerform tasks cost-effectivelyManage materials, tools, and property responsiblyFollow manuals, regulations, and safety guidelinesMaintain safety instructions and work safety standards
Skills & Experience
Trade qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical disciplinesExperience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical environmentsAbility to pass medicals, climb towers, and work at heightsFluent English skills (reading, writing, speaking)Teamwork, responsibility, and collaborative attitudeProblem-solving skills (strategic and analytical)Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, in-house systems)Willingness to undergo training and development
