About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and research‑active Lecturer in Information Technology to teach into our Masters, Bachelor, and Associate Degree programmes within the Department of Business and Construction. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality learning experiences for domestic and international students, contributing to curriculum development, applied research, and program quality assurance.

This position involves teaching and teaching‑related duties (up to 50% of time), alongside scholarly activities that ensure our courses remain relevant to industry needs.


Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities aligned with curriculum and learning outcomes.
* Contribute to program induction, quality assurance, and compliance with TEQSA standards.
* Engage in curriculum development and research to maintain course relevance.
* Provide timely feedback on assessments and maintain accurate records.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry bodies and regulators.
* Promote student welfare and uphold Melbourne Polytechnic's values of inclusivity and respect.


Skills and Experience Required

* A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field (PhD desirable).
* Demonstrated excellence in tertiary‑level teaching and learning.
* Evidence of scholarly publications and/or professional association membership.
* Significant professional experience in the IT sector and ACS membership.
* Knowledge of TEQSA standards and experience in curriculum development.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.


Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

* A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* A National Police Check
