Video Editor & Content Production Assistant
We are Vale Studio – a content production agency on the Sunshine Coast specialising in high‑volume organic content. We work with leading brands across health, lifestyle, food, fitness, and local business, including Corrective Culture, The Pottery Studio, Urban Lamb, Institute of Health, The Pavilion Mooloolaba and more.
We're looking for a highly motivated and genuinely excited Video Editor & Content Production Assistant to join our growing team and help us create engaging, impactful content for our clients.
Your role will include:
Video Editing
* Edit short‑form videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) in line with Vale Studio standards.
* Apply brand‑specific captions, music, pacing, LUTs, and stylistic requirements.
* Follow internal SOPs around structure, hooks, pacing, and transitions.
* Maintain consistency across multiple clients and content pillars.
* Execute revisions quickly while staying within deadlines.
Pre‑Production Support
* Assist with content batching: clip selection, timestamping, naming conventions, folder organisation.
* Help build rough assemblies to speed up the editor workflow.
* Prepare caption files, thumbnail ideas, and content notes ahead of editing sessions.
Post‑Production Workflow
* Upload finished content using naming protocols and distribution folders.
* Maintain the content library and ensure everything is clean and accessible.
* Work directly with Content Manager and Lead Editor to meet weekly deliverables.
* Attend weekly production + editing syncs.
* Maintain clear internal communication via Slack, Notion & Frame.
* Contribute to refining SOPs, QC guidelines, and workflow automation.
* Research trending editing styles, audio formats, caption styles, and platform changes.
* Suggest creative ideas and improvements to elevate content quality across the studio.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve/Final Cut).
* Highly organised with excellent file management.
* Experience editing short‑form content that feels modern, punchy, and engaging.
* Understanding of pacing, storytelling, b‑roll usage, captions, and social‑first editing.
* Creative eye for detail and quality.
* Ability to learn quickly and follow structured internal systems.
* Bonus: experience with Sony cameras, gimbal work, basic lighting/audio setups.
What Success Looks Like
* Content delivered on time, consistently, and to brand standard.
* Minimal revisions required due to strong QC and alignment.
* A clean, organized content library that speeds up team workflow.
* Proactive support across filming, batching, and editing that allows the studio to scale.
* Initiative in improving creative processes and staying ahead of trends.
