About the Opportunity
The Product Development Draftsperson reports to the Product Development Manager and is part of the head office Product Development team. The focus of this rewarding role is to support the continuing evolution of the NEX Building Group brands (including McDonald Jones Homes) award winning home designs. More specifically, you will:
* Accurately model new house designs in ArchiCAD
* Produce detailed documentation for use by our internal departments
* Employ critical analysis to improve the quality of design and documentation
* Liaise with the designers as required, for the effective and efficient development of products
* Maintain the existing library of ArchiCAD modules and master plans across the Group
* Maintain knowledge of relevant building codes for compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia
About You
* Minimum educational qualification in Diploma of Building Design or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of construction processes and downstream impacts of design modifications
* Minimum 2 years' Architectural Drafting experience within the residential home design sector
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
* Previous ArchiCAD experience preferred but not essential
