Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B) from $123,435 to $146,044 pro-rata plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

Location: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)

The Role
The School of Psychological Sciences has an opportunity for a suitably qualified person to apply for an academic position in the Technical/Industry/Commercial Job Family. This position will have a teaching and professional supervision focus for the post-graduate psychology courses including the Master of Organisational Psychology.

The Macquarie University Academic Job family framework recognises the breadth of academic work in teaching, research and discovery, leadership and service and non-traditional academic activity. This position will have a dedicated workload allocation of 40% academic teaching in the post-graduate psychology courses including the Master of Organisational Psychology (MOrg) Course. This role will involve unit convening, conducting seminars, marking and professional supervision of applied psychology skills in general and organisational psychology. The non-traditional component of the role will include working with relevant staff in the Macquarie University Psychology Clinic (MUPC) and associated clinics, as well as external placement providers to facilitate the training of students enrolled in the postgraduate professional psychology Masters courses including the MOrg Course.

About You
You will have tertiary and professional qualifications in psychology (PhD preferred), current registration as a Psychologist and AHPRA endorsement in Organisational Psychology. You will have a passion for educating and training provisional psychologists.

Tertiary and professional qualifications in Psychology (PhD preferred)
Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with endorsement in Organisational Psychology
Currently approved as a supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, with minimum 2 years' experience
Knowledge and understanding of current APAC requirements for Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in psychology
Demonstrated experience in training and/or mentoring provisional or junior psychologists
Ability to develop and lead scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning in accredited coursework units in postgraduate psychology courses
Demonstrated positive engagement, active service and/or leadership within the psychology profession or discipline outside the higher education academy
Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to write both academic and industry reports and ability to meet deadlines including at short notice
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to staff and students from all backgrounds and to represent the School and Faculty to external stakeholders and the general public
Ability to work flexibly with academic, professional and administrative teams
