With highly experienced Certified and Senior Occupational Hygienists in our team, you'll receive strong mentoring and career development opportunities. As we continue expanding into 2026, we're looking for an experienced Occupational Hygiene Technician with a great work ethic and a positive, "can do" attitude to become a trusted partner with our clients. Occupational Hygiene roles are diverse and hands on. You'll be working across Perth metro, remote WA and other FIFO locations, supporting a wide range of industries including mining, ports, oil & gas and heavy industry.
What you will do initially
* Conduct occupational exposure monitoring including dust, diesel particulates, welding fumes, noise, asbestos fibres, chemicals, and water sampling.
* Perform respiratory and hearing protection fit testing to ensure workers are protected from hazardous exposures.
* Undertake audiometric (hearing) and spirometry (lung function) assessments as required.
* Work with a diverse range of clients and industries.
* Prepare accurate and professional reports aligned with Occuhealth standards and quality expectations.
What we are looking for
* Minimum of 1 year industry experience and qualifications as MAQT (Hygiene Sampler Registration)
* Noise Officer (highly desirable but not essential)
* Valid unrestricted Australian Driver's License and right to work in Australia
* Ability and willingness to work fly in fly out (FIFO) or drive in drive out (DIDO) when required for adhoc, short term or potential long-term assignments
* Strong analytical and written communication skills that support succinct writing for technical reports and strong verbal communication to convey information to technical and non-technical minded personnel
* A fabulous work ethic and willingness to support our clients through amazing customer service and willingness to assist them to meet their goals
* The ability to work independently but also be a proactive team member of a high-performing team
* Competent computer skills in Microsoft, including Word and Excel
