Major Data Centre Projects | Design & ECI Focus | Large-Scale Builds HVAC Project Manager
Design & Build Recruitment are partnering with a leading HVAC contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across Australia. With a strong pipeline of secured data centre work, they're looking to appoint an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead projects from early design and ECI stages right through to delivery and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead HVAC projects from design / ECI phase through full construction lifecycle
* Manage mechanical packages typically valued $15m+
* Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and programme delivery
* Drive value engineering and buildability during early contractor involvement
* Maintain strong client and consultant relationships
* Lead site teams including Project Engineers and Site Managers
* Manage budgets, forecasting, variations and commercial reporting
* Ensure quality, safety and commissioning standards are met
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial, healthcare, or mission‐critical projects
* Track record managing mechanical values of $15m+
* Strong exposure to design management and ECI engagement
* Experience working within a Tier 1 or major mechanical contractor environment
* Strong commercial acumen and contract management capability
* Confident stakeholder communicator — client‐facing experience essential
* Technical HVAC background (trade or engineering) preferred
