About the role
An outstanding opportunity is available for a Distributor Business Development Manager with proven experience and demonstrated success in key account management and business development. We would be open to considering someone with relevant experience coming from a Customer Service, Internal Sales Representative and/or Retail background selling industrial products. This role will be based in Forrestfield, Western Australia, state office.
The role will involve implementing and managing all activities with Industrial Distributors to ensure the full range of products and services marketed by SKF in Australia is promoted by authorised distributors.
The successful applicant will work with the Segment team, Engineering, Connected Technologies, Marketing and Services departments across the country to profitably grow the SKF market, as well as identify opportunities for expansion into markets or customers using SKF's diverse portfolio as the differentiator.
The main responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
* Executing and managing business growth strategies and plans specific to distributor-driven KPI's, requirements and expectations.
* Analysing the benefits of the SKF full value offers and align this to deliver the distributor development plans for implementation.
* Assisting in forecasting for accurate stock profiling at the distributor as well as in the local Distribution Centre.
* Scheduling regular visits to distributor branches and key customers as and when required to support growth targets.
* Monitoring competitor information / business intelligence and feed this back to management for action or information.
* Liaising with Marketing to promote SKF through joint campaigns, trade shows, Social Media awareness, Webinars and Customer Solution Days.
* Assisting in developing SKF's contract base by supporting distributor Value Added initiatives and pricing models that reflect the value of the contract.
* Creating insights into the Monthly Management Report (MMR) of business achievements, including but not limited to activities, opportunities and sales results through C4C.
About You
To be considered for this role you will have:
* Ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Engineering or related industry experience.
* At least five years of experience in a similar role / or within the same industry.
* Knowledge of industrial rotating equipment preferred but not essential, you will have a background working with industrial equipments/products.
* Experience in Project Management and a team based strategic selling approach would be desirable.
* Ability and confidence to develop business relationship at various levels, including senior management or corporate executives to win long-term strategic agreements.
* Ability to leverage resources and capabilities within an organisation to achieve sales and projects objectives. Key is having a "can-do" attitude.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to use collaboration tools within the Microsoft O365 Suite and SAP would be beneficial.
* Willingness to travel required (focusing on the West Coast).
