Job Description
Full Time Fleet Manager Location: SUNRISE REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT PTY LTD (9 Lucknow Drive, Beveridge, VIC 3753) Salary: $82,000 + 12% Super SUNRISE REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT PTY LTD is looking for a Fleet Manager who can oversee daily fleet operations, optimise transport schedules, ensure compliance with safety and transport regulations, manage vehicle maintenance, control operational costs, and lead a team to deliver efficient and reliable refrigerated transport services. The company requires minimum 3 years of experience. Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the procurement and upkeep of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel supplies
* Oversee maintenance, servicing, and repairs
* Monitor and control fuel usage and costs
* Recruit, train, and supervise drivers
* Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and licensing
* Plan and optimize routes and logistics
* Track expenses and manage fleet budgets
* Communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer guidance on vehicle options, rental or purchase terms, and resolve any issues or complaints
* Implement safety policies and investigate incidents
* Use fleet management software and analyze performance data
About You:
* Relevant qualification in Logistics, Management, leadership or Business (desirable)
* Industry or TAFE certification in transport/logistics (advantageous)
* Proven organisational and scheduling capabilities
* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
* Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
* Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations
* Understanding of transport regulations and WHS compliance
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management
* Prior experience in logistics, transport, or fleet operations (preferred)
