Lead and grow our hire division, driving revenue performance while overseeing day-to-day operations across our transportable building and ancillary portfolio.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Hire Operations Manager to take ownership of our hire operations. This role combines leadership, customer engagement, and operational oversight, with a strong focus on revenue growth, service delivery, and stock utilisation.

We specialise in transportable buildings, mobile crib rooms, and container solutions, servicing clients across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and New Caledonia. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the Hire Coordinator and yard team member (cleaning and detailing) to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
* Drive revenue growth through strong client engagement, retention, and market development
* Build and maintain client relationships through site visits and communication
* Oversee scheduling, allocation, and coordination of hire activities in conjunction with the Hire Coordinator
* Manage incoming enquiries, quotations, and conversion of hire opportunities
* Maintain oversight of stock availability, utilisation, and readiness for hire
* Ensure all hire activities meet safety, compliance, and operational standards
* Monitor and maintain accurate reporting, hire records, and administrative processes
* Identify and implement improvements to systems, workflows, and overall service delivery
About You
* Proven experience in the hire industry, ideally within transportable or modular buildings
* Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and expand a hire portfolio
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing small teams
* Professional communicator with a customer-focused approach
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong administrative and reporting capability
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel or similar systems)
* Safety-focused with a solid understanding of site and compliance requirements
