An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially driven food industry professional to join Fibrisol Service Australia as a Regional Application & Development Manager – Asia Pacific.
Based in Somerville, this senior leadership role will oversee application technology, product development, and technical service operations across the Asia Pacific region while supporting strategic business growth within the food ingredients sector.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director locally, with a dotted reporting line to the Global Technical Manager based in Asia, this role will lead technical application services, new product development initiatives, and customer-facing technical support across the region.
The successful candidate will manage regional technical teams, drive innovation, support commercial growth strategies, and act as a key technical advisor to both internal and external stakeholders.
The role also involves regular international travel throughout Asia, with approximately 6 regional trips annually.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all application technology and new product development activities across the Asia Pacific region
* Drive innovation and ingredient development aligned with business growth objectives
* Lead raw material evaluations, product trials, and commercialization projects
* Provide high-level technical support and solution-based consultation to customers
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all business levels including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Sales teams, Production Managers, and operational staff
* Collaborate closely with sales and commercial teams to identify new business opportunities and market trends
* Lead, mentor, and develop regional technical and application teams
* Present technical solutions and influence key customer decisions in a commercial environment
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across product performance and operational processes
* Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
* Actively contribute to the global ICL technical and application network
Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing, Biochemical Science, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ experience leading R&D, technical, or application teams within the food manufacturing industry
* Strong technical knowledge of food ingredients and food processing applications
* Proven commercial and customer-facing experience within the food sector
* Ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels
* Strong leadership, coaching, and people development capability
* High level presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Hands-on attitude with willingness to support operational and technical activities when required
* Strong project management, documentation, and organisational skills
* Experience within meat processing or protein-based food manufacturing highly regarded
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Asia Pacific
