About the Role
As part of the Marine Operations Support Services team, the Marine Applications Analyst will support the implementation and ongoing optimisation of our marine operations system across SeaLink Marine & Tourism business units. The role will assist in configuring, maintaining and improving application use to support operational efficiency, safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Specifically, a key focus of the role is providing expert marine application support in the configuration, implementation, optimisation and performance of our marine operations system - Helm CONNECT, whilst maintaining application accuracy, asset hierarchies and task structures across business units. Acting as the primary contact for day-to-day user support, troubleshooting and guidance across national operations, there is also a requirement to provide a support service desk function.
In addition, the role is also required to support and assist operational readiness, application integration, undertake compliance and performance monitoring, training and capability development, undertake stakeholder engagement and support co-ordination.
Whilst based in Adelaide, the position will be required travel to SeaLink Marine & Tourism business units across Australia to provide onsite system support, training, and implementation assistance as required by operational demands.
About You
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with operational teams, technical stakeholders and management across diverse business units. You will also have strong technical capability in the configuration, administration and optimisation of digital operational systems and applications, ideally in a maritime or multi-site operational context.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
* High level of accuracy in data entry and data management and strong attention to detail.
* Well developed problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify system issues, evaluate data and recommend solutions.
* Ability to manage workload autonomously, balance completing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, operationally driven environment
* Experience in preparing clear, accurate application. documentation/configuration records, training resources and performance reports/dashboards.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
* Proven experience supporting or administering operational systems, ideally in a maritime, transport or asset intensive industries.
* Experience supporting key projects.
* Demonstrated ability to manage marine applications and workflows in alignment with safety management systems (SMS), manufacturer requirements, and compliance frameworks.
Ideally, you will have a relevant qualification in Information Systems, Maritime Operations, Business Systems (or a relevant discipline).
