The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement with a strong track record of optimising the direct sourcing of goods from across the globe.
Working closely with the CEO and CFO, and supported by a team of two, the role focuses on driving down costs while establishing strong and strategic relationships with key suppliers.
This role is based in their head office in Leeton NSW for the first 12 weeks, after which it can be managed from their Silverwater office in Sydney or their Dandenong South office in Melbourne.
Day to day:
1. Maintain and establish relationships with key suppliers globally.
2. Maintain and continuously improve QA Management policies and procedures to ensure the highest levels of quality from suppliers and for customers.
3. Improve cost savings and negotiate the best deals with a network of suppliers.
4. Maintain and improve stock availability while reducing excess inventory levels.
5. Optimize the procurement process and ensure compliance across the supply chain.
About You
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in direct strategic sourcing, a knack for building strong supplier relationships, and negotiating the best deals possible.
* Experience in a fast-paced and growing business with the ability to influence change and improvements internally and with suppliers.
* Up-to-date knowledge and experience in quality assurance, ideally with an understanding of ISO9001, ISO4001, HACCP, and Sedex Compliance.
* Advanced IT skills including Office 365 and ERP experience.
* Ability to travel interstate monthly.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
