We are a Japanese restaurant in the heart of Windsor. We're looking for a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Recruit, train, roster, and manage front-of-house staff to deliver warm, professional, and efficient service.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure menu consistency, quality, and dietary compliance.
* Manage reservations, guest relations, and conflict resolution with a customer-first approach.
* Oversee stock control, supplier relationships, ordering, and inventory management.
* Monitor budgets, sales targets, and cost controls to maximise profitability.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant venue in line with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
* Ensuring Food Safety procedures are followed.
* Overseeing waste management processes, ensuring correct recycling and sustainable disposal practices
* planning menus in consultation with Chefs
* arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
* maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
* ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
* conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
* selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
* take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
Skills & Experience
* Proficiency in English
* Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a senior hospitality role.
* Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, wine, sake and service etiquette.
* Experience working in a gluten-free or allergy-aware food service environment (preferred but not essential if willing to train).
* Exceptional leadership, communication and team management skills.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Financial literacy and understanding of budgeting, cost control and reporting.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (required).
* Food Safety Supervisor certification (required or willing to obtain).
