The Senior Project Manager will manage WorkCover Board Tasmania projects from initiate to close, in accordance with the Department's project management methodology. The role is responsible for the successful delivery of project outputs and outcomes, providing technical advice to the Assistant Director, Program Management, and to other stakeholders on those projects under their management.
Duties
* Review and confirm project deliverables to ensure that the requirements of projects are being delivered in a timely and user-friendly manner.
* Work with Business Owners and stakeholders to identify, develop and document requirements, to assist in the identification and assessment of possible solutions.
* Work with Business Owners and stakeholders to plan and undertake the work required to implement the identified solution/s.
* Develop and maintain project related documentation and reports including project charters, plans, risk registers and closure reports.
* Develop communication and consultation strategies to ensure sound knowledge of projects by all internal and external stakeholders.
* Effectively coordinate and undertake high level project management over all components of project plans in order to achieve objectives in a structured and formalised manner.
* Work collaboratively with all stakeholders in the development and management of project outputs.
* Provide guidance and leadership to staff associated with and affected by projects.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary or industry recognised qualifications and expertise in Project Management.
