About the role
Based at our Orange Depot and reporting to the Depot Manager, the Logistics Scheduler will be responsible for:
Tasks And Responsibilities
* Scheduling day‐to‐day deliveries of bulk fuels from terminal to customer and company delivery sites utilizing the available fleet based at the Orange Depot
* Ensuring that Lowes fleet operates efficiently by minimizing operating costs through effective load maximization, route planning and driver scheduling
* Entering scheduled deliveries and delivery details promptly into the Lowes database in accordance with NHVR requirements
* Liaising and communicating with company drivers, customers and transport sub‐contractors on a daily basis
* Supporting depot operations including trip processing and dispatch activities
* Remote monitoring of fuel tank levels across sites throughout service areas
* Meeting and exceeding customer service level requirements
* Scheduling trucks servicing and maintenance
* Managing driver rosters and timesheets

Skills Required
* Previous scheduling experience considered an advantage but not essential as full on‐the‐job training will be provided
* A good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicle regulatory requirements
* Ability to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal logistic decisions
* Critical thinking with a focus on problem solving and solution‐based outcomes
* Capable of working unsupervised and managing time effectively
* Strong transport & logistics background
* Operational experience is an advantage
* Good computer skills including Excel
