An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced and highly motivated Breast Imaging Radiographer to take on the role of Director (Chief Radiographer) at BreastScreen Queensland, Bundaberg or Hervey Bay Hospitals. In this senior position, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for breast imaging services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-focused screening and diagnostic services. You will play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, fostering a collaborative team environment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Your Opportunity:

* The Chief Radiographer position is of a clinical and administrative nature. It is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all aspects of the breast imaging service provided by Radiographers and Sonographers at the BreastScreen Queensland Wide Bay Service in accordance with BreastScreen Queensland Policies and Procedures and BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards. The Chief Radiographer is accountable for the maintenance of a high standard of client care, technical expertise, departmental organisation and the on-going professional developmental of all Radiographers within the service.
* The Chief Radiographer performs skilled screening, diagnostic and interventional mammography – and breast ultrasound if suitably qualified.

What we're looking for:

Clinical Expertise

* Demonstrated specialist knowledge, expertise and skills in all radiographic and clinical aspects of mammography.
* Demonstrated consultant level knowledge, expertise and skills in both mammography and breast ultrasound.

Communication

* Demonstrated ability to use high level communication skills to provide advice to senior managers and other stakeholders on BreastScreen Service needs.

Operational Management

* Demonstrated ability to provide operational management of a medium-sized BreastScreen multidisciplinary team, including the allocation of resources.

Leadership

* Demonstrated ability to lead the radiography workforce and contribute to the strategic direction for a healthcare team operating at one or more sites within or across the Health Service or Service Area.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Mandatory possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification, preferably in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography) and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* Possession of a Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) issued by the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR) or equivalent, or the ability to attain one within twelve months of commencing employment.
* Possession of a post graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound, or experience in Breast Ultrasound within the BreastScreen Program, with Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register (ASAR) registration would be highly advantageous.
* Possession of a Use Licence, or be eligible for a Use Licence, under Radiation Safety Act 1999.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification, and if applicable, registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* This position may require you to work staggered shifts (early and late) and/or on Saturdays as per Service delivery requirements, in order to provide necessary access to our Services by our clients.

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $172,615 p.a., comprising salary between $144,991 - $151,289 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
