This position requires a strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Reliability Engineering within a mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environment.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Caterpillar excavators and Hitachi excavators, as well as Caterpillar electric rope shovels. Proven track record of supporting maintenance and reliability activities for field plant equipment is also essential.
You will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering support to the Planning & Reliability Department and conducting analytical work to identify, quantify, and implement defect elimination activities.
This is a site-based position working a 4on/3off Monday to Thursday roster. Key responsibilities include completing daily investigations, weekly reporting of downtime events, and diagnosing root causes to assist in providing permanent rectification of defects.
In addition, you will ensure the collection and maintenance of data, specifically focusing on production loss (downtime data). You will provide advice and appropriate corrective action recommendations through updates of condition monitoring reports, noting any observations that may require corrective work in the future.
Collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) is also crucial in identifying and adopting technologies and practices that will improve equipment performance and reliability.
