Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical education, orientation programs, competency accreditation, and ongoing professional development support to nursing staff and students. They will work in collaboration with the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager to identify, develop, implement, and evaluate educational initiatives at the ward/unit level.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs
* Provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing workforce
* Maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
* Relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications in critical care, or such ICU education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
* Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs
* Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement, and maintaining a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice
