Our Early Learning School is looking for a School Director!
Are you a passionate and experienced leader in early childhood education? Following the success of our first school, which was established in Perth in 2018, we seek a dynamic School Director to lead our second location which opened in Fremantle in March 2025.
As our School Director, you will guide and mentor a talented team of experienced Early Childhood Teachers (ECT), educators, and faculty members, fostering an environment of excellence in early childhood education. Our organisational culture is crucial to how we operate as a team, reinforcing our curriculum and daily operations.

In addition to our Reggio Emilia approach, we thoughtfully incorporate principles of RIE and Pikler into our curriculum. Our diverse and comprehensive offerings include art, music, mindfulness, Italian language, and sign language, tailored to enrich each child's educational journey.
What sets us apart is our carefully structured staffing model. Each classroom is guided by a qualified ECT and supported by an experienced Studio Lead who manages daily operations and care. Our dedicated Educational Leader (Pedagogista), Art Teacher (Atelierista), and Italian language instructor further enhance our programmes, ensuring a rich learning environment. We are fortunate to collaborate with outside specialists, including occupational therapists and sign language facilitators, to support child development and further our educational mission.
Role Purpose of School Director:
Key responsibilities include overseeing school operations, ensuring safety, directing educational programmes, managing administration, engaging in strategic planning, providing exceptional customer service, supporting child development, and achieving financial KPIs and budgetary goals.
The Director must establish systems and processes for effective programme implementation and staff development, working with the Educational Leader to ensure superior customer service and secure, high-quality learning environments. This role demands a dynamic leader who balances operational management with a strategic vision to drive growth and excellence.
What We’re Looking for:
* Demonstrated extensive experience in educational and strategic leadership, particularly in roles such as Childcare Director, Educational Leader of an Early Learning School, or Head of Early Years in a primary school.
* Has a degree in early childhood teaching (or a higher level) or a diploma in early childhood education and care, as well as extensive experience and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth.
* Proven ability to train and mentor staff, facilitating the achievement of exceptional educational outcomes, with success evaluated based on the development and advancement of the school faculty.
* Significant expertise in management and mentoring teachers and educators on various early childhood theories, best practices in education, and frameworks such as the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), implementation of Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), and National Quality Standard (NQS).
* A strong focus on fostering a culture of continuous improvement through developing and implementing effective processes and programmes, ensuring safety leadership and management practices are integrated at all levels within the school while meeting and exceeding legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborates with the Pedagogista to oversee the implementation of innovative and engaging child‑initiated curricula, ensuring the application of evidence‑based, high‑impact teaching strategies throughout the school.
* Proficient in business management, encompassing budgeting, human resources, strategic planning, customer service, and professional development.
