Trikilis Counselling & Psychotherapy is a private clinic based in Winnellie in Darwin. TC&P is also Darwin's EMDR Clinic & Trauma center and provides services to a wide variety of clientele.
The Role
This is an on-site role located in Darwin, NT for a Psychotherapist, Psychologist (including provisional), Clinical Counsellor or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.
The clinician will be responsible for providing short-term psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups with diverse needs and backgrounds.
The clinician will also develop and implement treatment plans using evidence-based approaches, conduct assessments and evaluations, maintain confidential client records, and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.
The ideal applicant will work from a client-centered framework, have skills or experience in solution-focused interventions such as CBT, DBT, EFT. EMDR training is desirable.
Qualifications
* Minimum degree Qualified or higher in Psychology, Psychotherapy, Counselling, or a related field, plus
* Psychotherapists/Clinical Counsellors (with 5+ years of experience) - Clinical registration with PACFA, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner - general registration with AHPRA (or meeting eligibility criteria to apply), Psychologist - general registration with AHPRA, Provisional Psychologist - provisional registration with AHPRA
* WWC card & current Criminal History Check
* Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy and counseling services, and familiarity with evidence-based practices
* Excellent knowledge of mental health issues, diagnoses, and treatments, and strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
* Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and building therapeutic rapport with clients
* Ability to implement and evaluate treatment plans, and adapt intervention strategies to each client's needs
* Excellent knowledge of professional ethics, privacy, and confidentiality, and ability to maintain accurate and complete client records
* Experience in working with diverse populations, including people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and the LGBTIQA+ community
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with trauma survivors is highly desirable
