The Role
The Melbourne office is seeking aJunior Financial Accountantto join a growing Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Director, this role will support the financial management of a national portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
About You
Accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable
Account reconciliations, including inter-company
Assisting with monthly management accounts and dashboards
Supporting periodic ATO, SRO and WorkCover reporting
Accounting for the company trust account
Liaising with external tax agents on compliance, trust audits, FBT and other reporting
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
Supporting cashflow management and forecasting
Maintaining and updating financial models
Ad-hoc project support for the Financial Director
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or higher)
2+ years' experience in a similar role
Xero experience (highly regarded but not essential)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Commercial and business awareness
Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Confident verbal and written communication skills
A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn
Some understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
