We are looking for an APS 6 Pricing and Cost Analysis Officer to take on a pivotal role within the GWEO Systems Division, Air Branch, delivering accurate, transparent, and strategic pricing and cost analysis for high-impact projects.
In this role, you will lead complex financial investigations, evaluate pricing proposals, and provide expert advice that influences major decisions.
You will work with autonomy, exercising initiative and judgment to interpret policy, assess trade-offs, and recommend solutions that drive efficiency and value.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing tender evaluations, supporting contract negotiations, and developing systematic analysis methods that set the standard for excellence.

About our Team
GWEO is the newest Group in Defence and we are growing a team of dedicated employees performing activities such as requirements setting; contracting; procurement; international logistics; domestic manufacturing; item management and maintenance, and co-ordination of disposal.
GWEO Systems Division is responsible for the GWEO capability life cycle.
This includes the acquisition, sustainment and disposal of all guided weapons and explosive ordnance for Defence.
The division is also responsible for Maintenance of explosive ordnance.
Developing the Australian Defence Force Weapons Capability Roadmap.
Overseeing the remediation of GWEO preparedness.
Enabling capability elements.
Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and business enabling services).
We are located in several locations across ACT, NSW, VIC and QLD and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.

Our Ideal Candidate
Brings proven experience in pricing and cost analysis, financial investigations, and the development of cost models.
Demonstrates the ability to interpret complex data, influence decisions, and effectively balance priorities such as cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
Excels at engaging stakeholders, communicates clearly, and provides mentorship and leadership to team members.
Displays a proactive approach, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement in dynamic environments.
Holds a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Engineering, with additional training or experience in financial modelling, project management, or leadership highly valued.
