About the role
Quasar Electrical are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electricians to join our committed work team supporting operations across the Hunter & Newcastle regions.
These roles involve preventative maintenance, service, repairs, and project works on fixed electrical infrastructure and fixed plant within operational environments.
The roster will be 5-Days (Mon-Fri) with the opportunity for overtime.
The role will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing high quality and timely services.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing safe, effective and efficient electrical services to our clients
* Communicate effectively to production, maintenance and engineering personnel on project, maintenance and breakdown issues with a 'can do' attitude and working as a team to develop appropriate solutions.
* Scheduled Maintenance on electrical infrastructure and fixed plant.
* Breakdown support on electrical infrastructure and fixed plant.
* Project related works (upgrades, new installations)
Essential Criteria:
* Electrical Trade Certificate (Qualified Supervisors/Contractors License)
* NSW Class C Drivers License
* Communicate effectively in verbal and written contexts
* Work effectively across a team of maintenance and mining personnel, follow procedure and use initiative to drive continuous improvement
* Demonstrated capability to manage risk with commitment to safe work practices
* Present in a fit for purpose manner which requires participation in random drug and alcohol testing
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with PLC, instrumentation and other similar electrical control systems
* Experience with electric motors, drives and associated control systems
* Experience working in an operational environment supporting continued operation of plant
* Working at Heights Qualification
* LVR/CPR Certificate
