Senior Application Support Officer

Location - Parramatta with flexible work arrangements

Employment type – Temporary full-time role for 6 months with the possibility of an extension

Salary - $129,464.00 pa - $142,665.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The Senior Application Support Officer provides high level technical advice and support in the development and deployment of technology solutions, as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of core business applications.

The role works closely with project teams, end users, customers and vendors to maximise the efficacy of technology design and implementation.

The role is also responsible for ensuring system performance, implementing upgrades, managing vendor relationships, security standards are adhered to and ensuring high availability of our digital applications.

What you'll do

As a Senior Application Support Officer, you will:

* Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements and technical design documentation to ensure alignment between project expectations and current or future ICT policies, requirements and capabilities.
* Provide input to the strategic direction of technology improvement initiatives to assist in the development of solutions that maximise business and customer outcomes.
* Facilitate, test, implement and maintain technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure technology changes are released as expected and to agreed timeframes.
* Proactive monitoring of system performance, with the ability to detect and respond to incidents, identify root cause of service failures and support the business to implement remedies to resolve service issues to prevent issues reoccurring.
* Generate, maintain and provide system performance and service statistical reports, system improvement recommendations, training and troubleshooting guides, and support knowledge transfer within the team.
* Maintain stakeholder and vendor relationships through effective communication, and issues management to ensure technical project and support deliverables are met.
* Provide input and advice on security matters including third-party cyber risk assessments and solution risk assessments.
* Review, prepare and provide subject matter expertise on technical and business documents including but not limited to release notes, cut over plans, change requests and vendor contracts.

What we're looking for

In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description:

You are an experienced ICT leader who thrives in a dynamic environment where autonomy, accountability and strategic thinking are essential. You bring a strong technical background in application and platform management, ideally within large, complex organisations, and you are confident in making informed decisions based on your analysis, providing expert technical advice, and ensuring high‐quality service outcomes.

With a collaborative leadership style, you are skilled at understanding and managing ICT Support and cyber security processes, interrogating data, managing competing priorities, and navigating diverse stakeholder needs.

You are proactive at identifying and finding solutions to complex technical and operational issues and you are comfortable operating with discretion and judgement. You are confident in engaging with and supporting multiple teams, as well as providing mentoring and coaching to ensure business issues are addressed through expert technology design and support.

You have significant experience working with technologies including Salesforce, Amazon, iOS & Android mobile, as well as ICT Service Management tools. Staying ahead of emerging technologies excites you, and you bring fresh ideas to improve platforms and applications that support critical business outcomes.
