Job Description
This role offers a great variety of projects and provides opportunities for professional growth and development. The position involves inspections and surveys of existing infrastructure, including condition / structural assessments, and Level 2 and 3 inspections of bridges, transport, marine, industrial, and major infrastructure.
* Inspections and surveys of existing infrastructure to assess its condition and identify any potential issues.
* Undertaking site investigations involving the use of destructive and non-destructive testing to diagnose existing issues.
* Diagnosing existing issues identified during inspection and design remediation and management strategies.
* Providing technical expertise on jobs and contributing to the durability assessment and remediation design of structures including concrete materials and mix design and specification.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* A Bachelor's degree in a structural or civil engineering field with more than 3 years of post-graduation and industry experience.
* Working towards Chartered Engineer and RPEQ status.
* Knowledge of durability design and condition assessments.
* Proven experience and understanding of current materials technologies as they relate to infrastructure, concrete, steelwork, timber.
* Demonstrated experience in asset integrity, inspection, diagnosis and remediation strategies of structures.
* Experience with Level 2 and 3 bridge inspection projects.
