As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will work with vulnerable families to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Working sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children, or young people to assess and investigate safety and risk concerns
* Collaborating with other agencies and engaging in complex problem-solving to develop solutions that meet the needs of families
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including NSW Health staff and preservation services
Becoming a Child Protection Caseworker requires a range of skills and qualifications, including:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare, or related discipline
* Not essential but preferred experience working as a Midwife, Nurse, or working with expectant parents, or experience in other roles with NSW Health
* Experience in child protection assessment and case planning
