The Role as a Plant Allocator/Scheduler, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our machinery hire fleet runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll coordinate bookings, allocate equipment, manage logistics, and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams to deliver outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and coordinate machinery hire, transport logistics, and equipment returns.
• Allocate plant and machinery to meet project demands and optimize fleet utilization.
• Coordinate cross-hiring of machinery with external partners when required.
• Conduct pre- and post-hire inspections to identify and report any equipment damage.
• Liaise with clients, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment availability, hire periods, and service schedules.
• Monitor compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and service intervals.
• Provide daily dispatch schedules and real-time updates to support operational efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in scheduling, logistics, or plant allocation, ideally in the construction, machinery hire, or related industries.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
• Proficiency with scheduling or job management software (e.g., Lanter, Fleetio, or similar systems).
• A team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable:
• Forklift Licence (highly regarded but not essential).
• Knowledge of excavation or construction industry practices.
