Centre cook - rouse hill

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking an experienced Centre Cook to join our Rouse Hill Adelphi Service.

This position is a permanent part-time position working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday between 8am to 3pm per day.

As a Centre Cook at Young Academics, your expertise in the kitchen will assist in creating meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role. You will also collaborate with fellow educators to build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families and the wider community, fostering a supportive environment that enhances children's health and safety, wellbeing, confidence, and lifelong love of learning.

• Implement and modify (where required) a seasonal menu created by our nutritionist
• Maintain regular checks in compliance with the NSW Food Standards Code and Health Regulations
• Assist staff and families in providing high-quality education and care
• Collaborate with the staff and families to facilitate learning opportunities relevant to the educational program
• Maintain professional, supportive and respectful relationships between management, staff, families and children

• Demonstrated Cook/Chef experience in the Aged Care or Early Childhood Education and Care sector
• An ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred but not mandatory
• Alternatively, a relevant Commercial Cooks qualification
• Food Handlers Basics Certificate
• Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
• Knowledge of Food Standards Codes, EYLF and NQS
